We, all the people of Nepal, are going to celebrate the festival of different colour – Holi which is one of the greatest festivals of Nepalese. Like past years, Holi will be celebrated on two different days tomorrow and the days after tomorrow (i.e. Tuesday and Wednesday).
Holi which is celebrated with the advent of autumn season has its own religious and cultural importance. Holi is celebrated so as to develop brotherhood ending all past grief and grievances among our friends, relatives and neighbors, etc. It's also celebrated in triumph of victory of truth over falsehood.
All, be it children, adults or old, celebrate this festival smearing colour and colour-powder on the face each other; the youngers take blessing from elders touching their feet in respect, they are also offered varieties of delicious food items especially made of meat.
But with the changing passage of time, different many disorders have entered in this festival. Forgetting the true norms of Holi, people celebrate it so as to enjoy over the harassment of especially girls and women. Mobil, grease, mud, dirty and contaminated water of drains, silver-paint, and colour-powder with skin-harmful chemicals are widely being used today. Rowdy boys and other men consume alcohol and other narcotic drugs and make exhibition of themselves using dirty language in roads.
They think they are allowed to do anything in the name of Holi just because the police administration also becomes on-lookers and keeps mum on that day.
Until and unless strict rules and regulations are made and police administration becomes active to implement them effectively, and guardians as well as elders of societies control their children from following the disorders, none can enjoy and celebrate this festival in a real sense.

Attitude of Maoists !
Birgunj,
Be what happens, the attitude of a person seldom changes. The attitudes of some people remain the same; take them wherever, keep them in whatever company or instruct them in whichever manner.
The rebels of yesterday are in power today and ruling the country in their desirable ways. They are out of jungle now, they new cannot be called junglee since they are in big city like Kathmandu as the big-boss. But their attitudes compel us to regard them junglee. They show no sign to improve themselves. Before they came in power, people thought there wound be peace in the country after they get power and move along as they like but the situation is as it was before. There’s no curb on corruption, exploitation, monopoly, sheer violation of rules and regulation, bandh, vehicular movement, crimes, robbery, theft and moreover murder and abduction which are rampant in every corner of the country and hitting the banner news of dailies everyday.
Maoist as before perhaps understand no human language except guns and violence. Maoists – YCL – rebel – terrorist: name in fact doesn’t matter. They will also never change even if they are named ‘Sadhu Force' or ‘Peace Loving People League’ instead of Maoists or Young Communist League (YCL) whatever. In fact, cadres of YCL are doing what they were taught in the jungle and what there is in their blood or attitude.
Nearly before a month, Puskar Dangol, 23, of Syuchatar Kathmandu was abducted and subsequently murdered along with his friend Nirmal Pant by Maoist affiliated Young Communist League (YCL) cadres in Dhading. Their bodies were found buried near a stream in Dhading last Tuesday. Such a condemnable and inhuman act!
This is not the first time, they (Maoists) have killed someone. They have killed hundred of others innocent people before, including one Ram Hari Shreshth a local businessman of Kathmandu. None can expect what will happen if the protector becomes destroyer. They are terrorizing the people in such manner when they are not in full-majority. The power will perhaps make their attitudes absolutely ‘dictator’.
The need of hour is not for them to be over-excited at such moment because achievement of power is not permanent that they can be satisfied with, reaching the power is just the beginning and a continuous process to work in accordance with people’s wishes by wining their confidence and belief for long-term achievements.
